About this run

It’s Easter! So find your Easter Bunny ears and tail, paint your eggs in many colours, or wear bright, springlike yellow haberdashery! Hares: Kilty as Charged Beermeister: Trash Can Man Start: Genval train station (Rue de la Gare/Rue du Cerf, 1332 Genval), ground level car park, west of the tracks, right next to platform 1. 50.726319, 4.513668 https://maps.app.goo.gl/xp9dTPTbiCvjdMMG6 Public Transport: Train S8 (Midi 13:48 - Central 13:52 - Nord 13:58 - Schuman 14:06 - Luxembourg 14:09 - Etterbeek 14:13 - …) arrives at Genval station at 14:31. Go up the stairs nearest to the end of the train (if coming from Brussels), and follow the signs for platform 1, not those for the exit! Bring a beer for the wait… Keep in mind there are metro works this Easter weekend, and there’s no metro 1 or 5 between Gare de l’Ouest and Arts-Loi! https://www.stib-mivb.be/travel/works/works-at-beekkant-and-gare-centrale-centraal-station-interruption-of-m Trail: The Bulls trail is 9,5 km to the beer stop—not counting any checking, of course—with the Chickens’ shortcut 8,2 km. For the Walkers it’s a beastly 6,66 km, and for the Walking Wounded 1,3 km straight to the beer stop, with a Carrefour Express on the way in case they get thirsty early… Since the train arrives quite early, we’ll try to get Chalk Talk done early, so we can actually start trail at 15:00. On After: The Wild Geese (Avenue Livingstone 2-4, 1000 Brussels): lots of food options—vegetarian as well—and even more beer and booze—Baby Guinness anyone?—just 300m from Schuman train/metro station. (For the visitors: an easy bus 63 to get back to the centre) https://www.thewildgeese.eu
